The Bild und Kritik blog was established in 2023 and is run by members and staff of the eikones Graduate School. The blog is a platform for debates on and explorations of research on images in a broad sense. Bild und Kritik is interdisciplinary and not limited to one discipline; contributions from across the spectrum are welcome.
Academic researchers, curators, artists, and other cultural workers, junior and senior, are invited to submit essays, interviews, lectures, or reviews to the blog.
The editorial board welcomes texts, videos, images, podcasts, etc. – please refer to the stylesheet for guidance. Members of the eikones graduate school review submissions before publication. Submissions can connect to or be independent of the yearly theme. The theme for 2024 is "failure."
